I want to congratulate one of my groom from 2008, Richard Symons of Elite Swim School, for his winning of 4 gold and 2 silver medals at a recent swimming competition. I was privileged to be Richard and Sheila’s wedding photographer last summer.

Reflecting how big a part swimming plays in Richard’s life, one of the wedding cakes they had was in the shape of a swimming pool, complete with necklace sweets as lane dividers and four competitors ready to dive in.

I think it’s little touches like these that make each wedding special. You don’t have to spend a fortune on a designer cake or the most elaborate decorations to achieve something that is unique to you. All you need is a touch of imagination and a good photographer to capture it all for you.
